Faculty Member- School of Retail

You are invited to join Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore as a Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor in the School of Retail Management. We are looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about Retail Management, Consumer Behavior, and related subjects. To be eligible for these positions, you should have a Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Retail Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. As a Professor, you must have a minimum of 10 years of teaching or industry experience, with at least 5 years as an Associate Professor post-Ph.D. You should also have a strong research background with publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals and experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and research projects. For the role of Associate Professor, a minimum of 8 years of teaching or industry experience is required, with at least 3 years as an Assistant Professor post-Ph.D. Research experience with publications in reputed journals is essential. As an Assistant Professor, a minimum of 3 years of teaching or industry experience is necessary, and research publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred. Industry professionals with extensive experience in retail management are also welcome to apply for Professor of Practice roles, where a Ph.D. is not mandatory. Your key responsibilities will include delivering high-quality skill-building in Retail Management, Consumer Behavior, Merchandising, and Omni-channel Retailing. You will also be expected to conduct research, publish in reputed journals, develop industry-aligned curricula, mentor students, and collaborate on industry-academia partnerships. To excel in these roles, you should have expertise in Retail Operations, E-commerce, Supply Chain, and CRM. Strong knowledge of Retail Analytics, Customer Experience Management, and Digital Transformation will be beneficial. Excellent mentoring and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to integrate industry trends into academics.
