Factory Programmer / 2D Designer (Modular Furniture)

We are looking for a Factory Programmer / 2D Designer who converts approved interior

designs into production-ready technical drawings and machine-friendly data .

This role sits between design and manufacturing and is responsible for ensuring zero

confusion, zero rework, and clean factory execution .

Key Responsibilities

1. Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Create

  accurate Bill of Materials

  for kitchens, wardrobes, and modular furniture

Include:

• Boards (type, thickness, finish)
• Hardware (hinges, channels, fittings)
• Edge banding details
• Accessories and special items

• Ensure BOM matches final drawings 100%
• Coordinate with purchase and factory teams to avoid shortages or excess

2. Cutting Plan & Optimisation

• Prepare cutting layouts for boards to minimize wastage
• Optimize sheet usage based on material size and grain direction
• Align cutting plans with CNC / panel saw requirements
• Revise plans quickly if design or material changes occur

3. AutoCAD & 2D Production Drawings

·      Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for factory use: Panel sizes, Joinery details, Clearances and tolerances

·      Convert design concepts into production-ready 2D drawings

·      Ensure drawings are easy to read for shop-floor execution

4. Drilling & CNC Drawings

Create drilling drawings for:

Define:

Ensure compatibility with CNC machines and manual drilling processes

5. Coordination & Quality Control

·      Coordinate with: Designers, Factory supervisors, NC operators

before production starts

·      Support factory team during manufacturing for any technical clarifications

·      Maintain drawing revisions and version control

Required Skills & Tools

AutoCAD (2D mandatory)

·      Experience creating: BOMs, Cutting plans, Drilling drawings

from factory execution perspective

Preferred Background
