Job Description

As the Fabrication Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the fabrication process to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. Leading a team of fabricators, you will monitor their performance, work progress, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Team Supervision: - Assigning tasks to fabrication workers and monitoring their performance. - Providing training and guidance to team members for skill enhancement. - Conducting daily team briefings to communicate goals and expectations. - Production Management: - Planning and organizing daily production schedules to meet project deadlines. - Monitoring the fabrication process for efficient resource utilization. - Addressing and resolving any delays or issues in production. - Quality Control: - Ensuring all fabricated components meet design specifications and quality standards. - Performing regular inspections of work in progress and finished products. - Maintaining documentation for quality control checks and corrective actions. - Health and Safety Compliance: - Enforcing workplace safety protocols and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment. - Conducting safety audits to ensure compliance with industry safety standards. - Material Management: - Coordinating with the procurement team for timely availability of raw materials. - Monitoring material usage to minimize wastage and ensure cost efficiency. - Reporting and Documentation: - Maintaining accurate records of production metrics, worker attendance, and equipment maintenance. - Providing regular updates to management on project status and workforce performance. - Equipment Maintenance: - Ensuring fabrication equipment and tools are maintained in good working condition. - Scheduling and overseeing regular equipment inspections and repairs. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - Educational Qualification: - Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or a related field. - Experience: - 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. - Familiarity with fabrication processes, welding techniques, and materials. - Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME and AWS. - Soft Skills: - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
