Soliflex is looking for a Head Fabrics Production, for the FIBC business. The incumbent will be based out of the factory at Tumkur and will be responsible for production & operations of the Fabric Division. He should ensure that the targeted production of fabric meets the plan in Quantity, Quality, and Timeline. He should also ensure that the manufacturing cost and efficiencies are optimized.
The incumbent should foster a collaborative and result-oriented culture that works on continuous improvement in systems and processes.
The manufacturing process involves Extrusion + Blowing, Loom to Fabric, and Fabric to Finishing as stages.
The ideal candidate should be a seasoned leader with an enviable manufacturing experience with a track record of driving efficiencies and yield.
a) Provide Leadership and directions to the fabric manufacturing team to achieve production targets with quality standards as per the production plan.
b) Design manufacturing systems and processes that improve the fabric throughput and minimize the cost of manufacturing. (Yield and Efficiency)
c) Create and implement a continuous improvement process that drives safety and manufacturing excellence at the fabric division.
d) Keep the manufacturing machinery in top condition through periodic maintenance and upkeep.
a) Prepare a daily fabric production plan for 2 shifts in advance, working backward from the finishing plan.
b) The production plan should aim to achieve longer runs with minimal changeover, thereby optimizing the throughput.
c) Manage human and material resources effectively to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
d) Achieve all parameters on Productivity, Yield, COGM, QA.
e) Be dynamically responsive to factor all plan changes to optimize the output.
f) Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facilities.
g) Check raw materials and inventory availability to support production needs and take proactive calls to keep the line active.
h) Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement quality control processes.
i) Have a manpower plan that meets the manning template and optimized for cost.
j) Be within the budgets for Raw Material / Accessories / Spares & Consumables.
a) Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
b) Lead initiatives for recipe and formulation in fabric production to reduce the overall COGS.
c) Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with best practices.

c) Conduct periodic business reviews that create a strong sense of, commitment and focus across manufacturing.
