Overview The EYP Homeroom / Pre-Primary Teacher plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of young children in Queens Road, Bangalore. This position is focused on providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and learning for children aged 3 to 6 years. As educators at this stage, teachers will be responsible for designing and implementing an engaging curriculum aligned with early years principles while facilitating social, emotional, and cognitive development. By cultivating strong relationships with students, parents, and the community, the teacher serves as a pivotal figure in shaping a solid foundation for lifelong learning. The role demands a deep understanding of childhood education practices, a commitment to best practices, and the ability to create a dynamic classroom that fosters a love for learning. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential, as teachers work closely with other educators and stakeholders to provide the best possible experiences for children in their care. Ultimately, the EYP Homeroom / Pre-Primary Teacher is essential in preparing students for their future educational journeys. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all students. Engage children in various play-based and hands-on learning experiences. Conduct regular assessments to track individual student progress. Support social and emotional development through guided interactions. Collaborate with fellow teachers to align curricula and share resources. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their childrens progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Incorporate technology and other resources into the learning experience. Encourage cooperative play and teamwork among students. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Stay informed about new teaching strategies and early childhood education trends. Implement health and safety protocols in the classroom. Attend meetings and contribute to school community activities. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Teaching certification or license in Early Childhood Education. Prior experience in teaching pre-primary or early years education. Strong understanding of child development theories and practices. Proficiency in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships with children and parents. Experience in classroom management and conflict resolution. Knowledge of assessment tools for young children. Willingness to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues. Basic understanding of child health and safety protocols. Patience and empathy with children and their needs. Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom dynamics.
