Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership

  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate the EYP curriculum in line with Orchids academic framework and NEP guidelines.
  • Ensure effective execution of play-based, activity-oriented, and experiential learning methodologies.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide actionable feedback to teachers.
  • Oversee assessments and ensure accurate documentation of academic progress.
  • Maintain consistency in lesson planning and learning outcomes across the EYP section.

Teacher Development

  • Mentor, guide, and support the EYP teaching team through regular training sessions.
  • Conduct professional development workshops to enhance teaching quality and innovation.
  • Facilitate collaboration and idea sharing among teachers to strengthen academic delivery.

Child Development & Well-being

  • Monitor and support each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to address individual learning or behavioral needs.
  • Ensure classrooms are safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments.

Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct Parent Orientation, PTMs, and open house sessions for the EYP section.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and school activities.
  • Work closely with the Principal and academic leadership team for smooth departmental functioning.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare academic calendars, timetables, and annual event plans for the pre-primary section.
  • Maintain all records related to lesson plans, assessments, and student portfolios.
  • Oversee classroom setups, learning aids, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or Psychology.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in pre-primary education, including at least 2 years in a leadership/coordinator role.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and CBSE/NEP guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and digital teaching tools.
