Job Title: Early Years Programmer (EYP) Coordinator

Location: Orchids International School, SUS Road, Pune

Job Summary:

The EYP Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Early Years Programmer (Pre-Primary classes Nursery, LKG, and UKG). The role includes academic planning, teacher mentoring, curriculum implementation, parent engagement, and ensuring holistic development of students in alignment with the school’s philosophy and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily functioning of the Early Years Programmers across Nursery, LKG, and UKG.

Implement and monitor the curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching methodologies.

Mentor, guide, and support EYP teachers in classroom management and pedagogy.

Conduct training sessions and workshops for teachers to maintain quality standards.

Ensure engaging, age-appropriate, and child-centered learning experiences.

Monitor student progress and maintain assessment records.

Coordinate with parents regularly through PTMs, orientations, and one-on-one interactions.

Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and well-being standards for young learners.

Collaborate with the Principal and management for smooth functioning of the EYP section.

Organize and manage events, celebrations, and activities at the pre-primary level.

Requirements:

Graduate/Post Graduate in Early Childhood Education / Child Development / Education or equivalent.

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Early Years teaching, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or coordinator role.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to mentor and inspire teachers while fostering a child-friendly environment.

Familiarity with modern pedagogies (play-way, activity-based, experiential learning).
