Responsibilities Of a D&A Solution Architect

Architectural Design & Strategy

Define and lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that align with business goals.Translate business requirements into technical solutions using platforms like Snowflake, Azure, and cloud-native services.

Platform Integration & Data Modeling

Architect ETL/ELT pipelines, data marts, semantic layers, and APIs for consistent data access across systems.
Design and implement data virtualization, data-as-a-service, and integration patterns for enterprise-wide consumption.

Governance & Compliance

Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Governance teams to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and technology standards.
Own requirement assessments for precursor components like data ingestion and unified data models (UDM).

Tool & Technology Selection

Evaluate and recommend analytics tools, frameworks, and platforms based on performance, scalability, and business fit.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring strategic alignment and stakeholder buy-in.
Lead design reviews and provisioning processes with cross-functional teams including platform, EA, and COE.
Innovation & Proof of Concept (POC) Leadership
Assess and guide POCs for AI/ML and BI solutions, ensuring they follow best practices before moving to production.
Review & Quality Assurance
Participate in design and architecture review gates (Pre-Development & Pre-Production) to validate solution integrity.

Key Skills Required

Data Modeling & Database Design (relational and non-relational)
Programming (SQL, Python, Java)
Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Security & Compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, encryption)
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving
Data Lake (Snowflake)
Experience as Data Arch > 8 years
