Job Summary

Operate and monitor extrusion machines to process raw food ingredients into finished or semi-finished products while ensuring quality standards, efficiency, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Setup and Operation:

Prepare and calibrate extrusion machines for production.

Adjust settings such as temperature, pressure, and feed rate based on product specifications.

Operate the extruder and auxiliary equipment, such as mixers, dryers, and cutters.

2. Material Handling:

Load raw ingredients (e.g., grains, powders, or starch) into the extrusion machine.

Monitor ingredient flow and replenish supplies as needed.

3. Quality Control:

Inspect extruded products (e.g., texture, size, and shape) to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Collect samples for laboratory testing when required.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or deviations in production.

Conduct routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.

5. Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to food safety protocols, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Follow all workplace safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

6. Documentation and Reporting:

Record production data, including output quantities, downtime, and material usage.

Report equipment issues, production deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Skills:

Knowledge of extrusion machinery and food processing equipment.

Basic mechanical skills to perform troubleshooting and minor repairs.

2. Attention to Detail:

Ability to monitor machine performance and product quality closely.

3. Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials weighing 25-50 lbs.

4. Food Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations).

5. Teamwork:

Ability to work effectively with other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

Education: diploma or equivalent.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
