Currently Manufacturing Snacks for ITC Job Summary: The Maintenance & Admin Head is responsible for overseeing the entire food manufacturing plant's operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, quality, and compliance with food safety standards. This role involves managing production, maintenance, quality assurance, supply chain, and personnel to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plant Operations & Production Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Plan and implement production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization. Ensure the plant meets or exceeds production targets while maintaining quality and safety. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 2. Quality & Food Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO, and other regulatory requirements. Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product consistency. Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve quality issues and enhance product standards. 3. Maintenance & Equipment Management: Ensure proper maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and increase efficiency. Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance production technology and automation. 4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure raw material availability. Optimize inventory levels to balance production needs and cost control. Develop vendor relationships to improve material quality and cost efficiency. 5. Cost & Budget Management: Prepare and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency. Identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and safety. Drive process improvements to optimize resource utilization. 6. Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Lead, train, and motivate plant staff, including production supervisors, engineers, and workers. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company HR policies. 7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents. Implement environmental sustainability initiatives in line with corporate goals. Conduct regular safety drills and audits to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Food Technology, Mech. Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 10+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Technical Skills: Knowledge of food processing, quality control, lean manufacturing, and automation. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards such as FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Software Knowledge: ERP systems, production planning software, and MS Office. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Production efficiency and yield improvement. Quality compliance and reduction in customer complaints. Cost reduction and waste minimization. Equipment uptime and maintenance effectiveness. Employee productivity and engagement. Safety compliance and accident-free work environment.
