Export Officer

As an Export Officer at Amar Khamar, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the export process of food ingredients and items for the company. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with customs regulations at origin and destination ports, tracking shipments, handling documentation, and coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth import and export operations. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of international trade regulations will be key to your success in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Ensure compliance:** Monitor and ensure adherence to import and export regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and licensing requirements for food products such as rice, spices, pickles, condiments, dried fruits, fruit-based jam, jelly, spreads, etc. - **Documentation management:** Prepare and review export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance. - **Coordinate shipments:** Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to arrange transportation, track shipments, and manage customs clearance processes. - **Customs clearance:** Liaise with customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance of exported goods, resolve any issues that arise, and address customs inquiries or audits. - **Coordinate with internal departments:** Collaborate with sales, purchasing, finance, and warehouse teams to align export activities with business goals and objectives. - **Maintain records:** Keep comprehensive records of all export transactions, including shipping documents, licenses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes. - **Stay up-to-date:** Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements to ensure compliance and adapt import/export processes accordingly. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices. - Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple shipments and prioritize tasks effectively. - Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in document preparation and compliance with regulations. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in using import/export software, customs clearance systems, and MS Office applications. - Analytical skills to assess import/export costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize supply chain operations. - Problem-solving skills to address issues related to customs clearances, shipping delays, and trade compliance requirements. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
