Job Description

The role of an Export Documentation Executive is a critical position within the international trade and logistics sectors. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the preparation and management of all shipping documentation required for international shipments. You must ensure that all paperwork complies with relevant customs regulations and export laws. Collaborating closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments is essential to guarantee the seamless transportation and delivery of goods across borders. By maintaining accurate records and facilitating smooth customs clearance processes, you play an essential part in ensuring timely shipments and minimizing potential disruptions. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within fast-paced environments. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing export shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance, coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure timely and efficient shipment deliveries, and liaising with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance processes. It is crucial to stay updated on export regulations and compliance requirements, file and record shipping documents meticulously, communicate effectively with internal departments regarding shipment statuses and issues, and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to export documentation promptly. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to the sales team on export-related inquiries, assist in the development and implementation of export processes and policies, monitor and track shipments to ensure they meet delivery schedules and expectations, conduct regular audits of shipping documentation for accuracy and updates, and collaborate with international partners to streamline export logistics operations. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, or a related field. Previous experience in export documentation or international logistics is preferred. A strong understanding of shipping documentation and customs regulations is necessary, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders, the ability to multitask and work within fast-paced shipping environments, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software are also required.
