Job Description

As a Geo-Environmental Data Management Specialist at WSP, your role will involve providing support to the Ground & Water Team for various activities related to geo-environmental data management. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing gINT Database by performing tasks such as data entry, import/export, reporting, and developing existing tools to support consultants. - Troubleshooting and manipulating gINT databases to provide relevant data for writing geo-environmental reports. - Mentoring Ground & Water staff on processes like gINT, Mobile Data Capture, and Digital Reporting, including interactive PowerBI Dashboards. - Developing in-house field digital data capture processes and systems, along with supporting the implementation of digital innovation strategies. - Promoting the use and understanding of AGS Data Transfer Format within the wider G&W team. - Reviewing and producing specifications for Ground Investigation Contracts related to digital data delivery. - Supporting the Environmental strategy for new systems development, consolidation, and new technology within the Ground & Water business unit. - Reporting to the Directors on the performance of the data management system and suggesting improvements. Additionally, your role will involve: - Reporting to and consulting with the Directors. - Managing a fleet of tablets/smartphones, including liaising with the IT department for mobile data contracts and equipment reallocation within the department. - Identifying technical developments, training, and research related to the G&W Digital System. - Collaborating with others to ensure the integrity of Ground Investigation data delivery. - Liaising with project teams to understand future data analysis requirements. - Liaising with third-party suppliers of AGS Data to ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables to WSP. - Representing WSP at meetings regarding Ground Investigation digital data delivery. - Performing any other duties and responsibilities as required by your line manager. Key Competencies required for this role include: - Comprehensive ground investigation data management experience. - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of AGS Data Transfer Format. - Practical experience with Ground Investigation Data Management systems. - Proven experience in a senior role. - Analytical mindset with excellent communication and people management skills. Qualifications required for this role: - Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering related discipline.
