Executive - Procurement

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing & Supplier Management:

   • Identify and evaluate suppliers for diamonds and colored gemstones globally.
   • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality and supply.
   • Conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with industry standards and ethical sourcing practices.

2. Purchasing:

   • Develop and issue purchase orders for gemstones based on production needs and inventory levels.
   • Monitor gemstone inventory and sales trends to optimize purchasing strategies.
   • Ensure timely delivery of all materials to meet production schedules.

3. Negotiation & Contract Management:

   • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.
   • Manage contracts, ensuring compliance and performance metrics are met.
   • Maintain thorough documentation of contracts and agreements.

4. Market Analysis:

   • Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing trends, new suppliers, and emerging gemstones.
   • Analyze gemstone quality, grading, and market demand to inform purchasing decisions.
   • Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative sourcing options.

5. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with design and production teams to understand specific material requirements and preferences.
   • Work closely with quality assurance to ensure that all sourced gemstones meet company standards.

6. Reporting & Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier evaluations, and inventory reports.
   • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, market trends, and supplier performance for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Gemology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in gemstone procurement, with a focus on diamonds and colored stones.
• GIA certification or equivalent gemology training is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of gemstone quality, grading, and ethical sourcing practices.
