Job Description

To support the Global Marking Support team in ensuring Examiner Hubs operate smoothly and consistently, following all internal policies and external regulations.

Role Accountabilities

To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Examiner Hubs by managing operational processes, providing high-quality support to examiners and test centers, and delivering excellent customer service. The role involves planning and coordinating resources, responding to queries, maintaining accurate data and reports, and supporting continuous improvement. The post holder will build strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders, adhere to regulatory and internal procedures, and assist in training, resource management, and day-to-day performance management of examiners to ensure consistent, high-standard service delivery.

Role specific skills, knowledge and experience

The role requires a minimum of 2 years experience in customer service or backend operations, with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Candidates should be comfortable speaking on the phone, maintaining clear and concise records of communications, and be willing to work in a 24 7 environment. Desirable attributes include experience working in a dispersed team and the ability to adapt positively to change.

Further Information

Language: Strong English proficiency is crucial for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and international operations.

Education: A bachelors degree in any discipline is required.

Locally recruited: Applications are welcomed from candidates currently in this location with a natural right to work. Relocation support is not provided.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders will need have, or be able to obtain, a valid special work permit issued from Government of India (GOI) to work in the British High Commission (BHC). BHC will not be able to sponsor work visas or obtain/ assist with the special work permit from GOI. Offers of employment made to OCI card holders will be conditional upon candidates obtaining a special work permit.
