Job Description

Executive Housekeeper is a senior management position responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the Housekeeping, Laundry, and Public Area departments. The primary objective is to maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, aesthetics, and hygiene across the entire property, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while managing operational budgets and leading a large team.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Management:

    Develop and implement departmental goals, operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance programs that align with brand standards and guest expectations.
  2. Team Leadership & Development:

    Oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of all Housekeeping, Laundry, and Public Area staff. Foster a positive, productive, and efficient work environment.
  3. Quality Control:

    Conduct daily, detailed inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas. Ensure the consistent execution of deep cleaning schedules and VIP room setup protocols.
  4. Financial & Inventory Control:

    Prepare and manage the annual departmental

    budget

    . Oversee the procurement, inventory, and cost-effective management of linen, uniforms, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals to minimize

    wastage

    and control expenditures.
  5. Maintenance & Safety:

    Coordinate closely with the Engineering team to track and ensure the prompt completion of all maintenance requests and preventative maintenance schedules for rooms and equipment. Enforce strict adherence to all health, safety, and

    chemical handling (MSDS)

    regulations.
  6. Guest Satisfaction:

    Personally manage and resolve all complex or highly sensitive guest complaints related to cleanliness or room maintenance, ensuring swift and satisfactory outcomes.
  7. Asset Management:

    Oversee the hotel's linen and uniform inventories, managing par stock levels, quality, and refurbishment/replacement cycles.
