Job Description

-

- Calculation of electrical parameters and preparation of technical data sheets.

- Optimum cable design & raw material estimation.

- Preparation of design sheet/SAP Code for manufacturing.

- Providing technical support to the marketing department.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical /Electronic engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-10 years of experience in a technical/design role, particularly within the cable industry.

  • Key responsibilities:

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Standards:

    Strong understanding and practical application of various Indian and international standards, along with technical specifications.
  • Tender Evaluation & Scrutiny:

    Proficient in evaluating and scrutinizing tenders and inquiries related to LT (Low Tension), HT (High Tension), instrumentation cables, export inquiries, and EHV (Extra High Voltage) cables as per Indian standard & other foreign standards.
  • Documentation & Design Expertise:

    Skilled in preparing Guaranteed Technical Particulars (GTP) in both standard and customer-specific formats. Capable of performing design weight calculations, electrical calculations, and creating customer-specific CS drawings.
  • ISO & Documentation Knowledge:

    Familiarity with ISO standards and the documentation processes for design department activities.
  • Customer Interaction & Technical Support:

    Adapt at engaging in technical discussions with customers and addressing their queries in a clear and effective manner.
  • Software Proficiency:

    Knowledgeable in using ERP systems, particularly SAP, or other industry-standard software commonly used for data management and operational tasks.

Soft Skills:

  • Communication & Presentation Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present technical information clearly and effectively.
  • MS Office Proficiency:

    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Team Collaboration:

    Ability to work effectively within a team environment, contributing to project success and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Adaptability & Time Management:

    Highly adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
