Job Description

Review and analyze patient records specific to cardiology procedures and services.
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements .
Collaborate with physicians, billing, and compliance teams to clarify documentation.
Maintain coding accuracy and productivity targets.

Key Competencies:

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.
Minimum 12 years of cardiology coding experience (inpatient or outpatient).
Strong knowledge of cardiology procedures (eg, cardiac catheterization, EKG, echocardiogram, PCI, stent placement).
Excellent attention to detail and understanding of compliance regulations.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
