Job Description

As an Event Manager at our organization, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events that align with our strategic objectives. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of event management, from initial conception to seamless execution, ensuring that each event meets its desired goals. You will be tasked with developing detailed project plans and timelines for events, liaising with stakeholders to determine objectives, themes, and budgets, and sourcing and managing venues, suppliers, and vendors. Additionally, you will oversee logistical elements such as permits, transportation, and accommodations to ensure smooth operations. During events, you will supervise on-site operations to maintain quality and compliance, coordinate with staff, volunteers, and vendors for seamless execution, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise. Budget management will also be a key aspect of your role, involving the preparation and management of event budgets, negotiation of vendor contracts, and monitoring of financial performance. Collaboration with the marketing team will be essential for promoting events through various channels, creating promotional materials, tracking attendance, and gathering feedback for post-event analysis. You will also be responsible for analyzing event success, gathering feedback, preparing detailed reports, and making recommendations for future improvements. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in planning and managing large-scale events. Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities, are essential. Proficiency in event management software and tools, creativity, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality are also required. Strong leadership, team coordination abilities, knowledge of current event planning trends and technology, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays, and willingness to travel for off-site events or vendor meetings are additional qualifications for this role. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, India, with no travel required.
