Role Overview: As a Creative Event Designer at Yellow Planners, you will be the visual storyteller behind unforgettable events. You’ll transform ideas into immersive designs, develop event themes, conceptualize decor, and ensure cohesive visual execution from pitch to production. Working closely with the planning and production teams, you will bring brand-aligned, Pinterest-worthy events to life. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: 1. Concept Development • Understand client briefs and translate them into original and creative design concepts. • Brainstorm themes, mood boards, and event narratives tailored to each occasion (weddings, birthdays, launches, etc.). • Present visual concepts and storyboards to clients with clarity and impact. 2. Visual Design & Layout • Create detailed layouts for stages, entrances, photobooths, lounges, installations, and more. • Select materials, floral palettes, color schemes, and props to match the concept. • Collaborate with set designers and artists to produce mockups or 3D renders as needed. 3. Collaboration with Teams • Work with the production team to ensure design intent is executed accurately on-ground. • Coordinate with florists, fabricators, printing vendors, and lighting teams. • Support planners in walkthroughs and design presentations to clients. 4. On-Site Execution & Styling • Supervise on-site styling during setup and oversee aesthetic quality control. • Be present during major events to ensure last-minute design fixes or styling tweaks. • Innovate with live styling ideas like personalized elements or unique guest experiences. 5. Trends & Research • Stay updated on global decor trends, materials, and event design innovations. • Maintain a design archive, vendor references, and an inspiration library for internal use. ⸻ Skills & Qualifications: • Strong design sensibility with an eye for detail and aesthetics. • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or SketchUp is a plus. • Ability to sketch rough ideas or digitally visualize concepts. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Prior experience in event or wedding design is preferred. • Passionate about storytelling, space design, and guest experience.
