About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of PHP developers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Architect and implement web applications using PHP (7.x/8.x) and modern frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
• Design and optimize relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Enforce best practices in OOP, MVC architecture, RESTful API design, and secure coding standards.
• Oversee integration of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, jQuery, Vue.js/React) with backend services.
• Implement CI/CD workflows, manage version control with Git, and ensure smooth deployments (Docker or containerized environments preferred).
• Contribute to system design, architecture reviews, and code reviews, ensuring technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive adoption of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) within the development team.
• Monitor team performance, assign tasks effectively, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps practices, and PHP ecosystem advancements.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience with at least 2+ years in a lead/mentoring role.
• Advanced expertise in PHP 7.x/8.x and one or more modern frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony).
• Strong knowledge of database design, indexing, and query optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (Vue.js/React).
• Experience with version control systems (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and CI/CD automation pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud deployments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
