Estimation Engineer

Job Title:

• Review architectural drawings, design specifications, and tender documents for interior design and fit-out projects.
• Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontracted services.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to gather accurate cost information.
• Evaluate and negotiate prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide value engineering solutions to maintain budget without compromising quality or design intent.
• Prepare and submit competitive tender and quotation documents within deadlines.
• Track project costs and report any variations or deviations from budget.
• Assist in post-tender clarifications, cost comparisons, and project handovers.
• Maintain and update a database of material prices, suppliers, and labor rates.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in estimation within the interior design or fit-out industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, MEP coordination, and construction methods related to interior projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Familiarity with local market rates, suppliers, and vendors.
• Project management exposure is a plus.
