Estimation Engineer (Fenestration - Door & Windows)

Role & responsibilities

-Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and customer requirements to determine the scope of work.
-Analyze and quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for each fenestration project.-Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals based on the project scope and specifications.-Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing for fenestration materials.-Maintain a comprehensive database of fenestration products, pricing, and specifications.-Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and pricing changes to ensure accurate cost estimation.-Work closely with project managers and sales teams to review estimates and provide support during the bidding process.-Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure accurate and timely project execution.-Identify and communicate potential risks or challenges in fenestration projects that may impact cost or timeline.-Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, clarifying project details, and resolving any issues that arise during the estimation process.-Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.-Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

-Experience as a Fenestration Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
-Logical Architecture Experience-Strong knowledge of fenestration systems, including windows, doors, and related components.-Familiarity with architectural drawings, project specifications, and construction documents.-Proficient in using estimating software and tools to prepare accurate cost estimates.-Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, vendors, and customers.-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.-Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).-Professional certifications in estimating, CAD or fenestration-related fields (desired).-Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
