Error Manager(QA)

You will be responsible for daily prioritization and assignment of defects during the feature development phase or maturation phase of the program. Together with the Delivery QA lead, you will establish the appropriate workflow in JIRA for defect management, aligning it with the standard program approach whenever possible and introducing exceptions only for critical customer requirements. It will be your duty to remove blockers to ensure continuous working of defects and escalate to the Solutions Manager when a blocker cannot be removed by the Error Manager. Creating and supporting JIRA dashboards on defect work to provide input to the program health QA dashboard, you will raise an alarm when defect metrics are not being met or bottlenecks in the process exist. In cases where program targets on defects are not being met, you will be responsible for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and escalating performance issues when KPI goals are not achieved. Collaborating with the Delivery QA Lead and counterparts on other programs, you will work on implementing process improvements for defect work. Managing the backlog of defects for the maturation teams during the delivery phase, you will facilitate triage meetings and ensure defects are scheduled accordingly, monitoring the throughput of defect closure. Representing your program for the periodic health of program review within the delivery team, you will be responsible for providing metrics to evaluate the state of the system, bug fixing velocity, bug closing velocity, and prediction models. As for authorities, you are authorized to conduct bug triaging sessions with the team, initiate RCA for recurring bugs, ask for fix versions of the bugs from engineering teams to predict and communicate to the customer, and serve as the point of contact for the Error Management process. Your skills should include management, customer service, metrics evaluation, JIRA proficiency, data analysis, bug triaging, process improvement, analytical skills, defect management, and RCA.,
