You will be a key member of the Scrum team at Pattern, actively participating to ensure that quality is integrated into the products following Agile Development Methodology. Your role will involve collaborating with the Product Management team during Sprint planning. You should have hands-on experience with tools like Functional Automation (UI) Tool and API Automation tools. Understanding and applying Quality standards and metrics for the product will be crucial, along with deriving corrective actions as needed. Your responsibilities will also include creating Test cases, Test scenarios, and product documents based on software requirements and technical specifications. Prioritizing testing tasks and test cases appropriately, participating in Bug triaging, and taking preventive measures will be part of your daily tasks. Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Product and engaging in quality improvement tools like Unit Test and RCA Addition will be expected. Effective communication and maintaining positive relationships with the development team and US counterpart will be essential for delivering high-quality products. You should promote a solution-oriented and congruent approach, demonstrating passion and tenacity in your work. In terms of technical qualifications, you should excel in Requirement analysis, Test Scenario and Test Case writing, producing Test Artifacts, and collaborating across teams with a keen eye for details. Experience in API Testing, including testing SOAP or REST requests using tools like SOAP UI or POSTMAN, is required. Basic to moderate-level knowledge of SQL for constructing queries and familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, will be beneficial. With a minimum of 7 years of experience in Automation, you should have expertise in creating and maintaining Test Scripts. Knowledge of Automation Frameworks like POM and Hybrid Framework is essential. Your proficiency in Testing Concepts, Defect Management, Test Case writing, and Test Scenarios identification is crucial. Understanding the software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC) is expected. Having a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance methodologies and experience in Functional and Web-Based Testing is necessary. Exposure to Automation Testing and API testing, along with the ability to write, implement, and maintain Test Scripts, is also required. Any certification such as CSTE, CSQA, or ISTQB Foundation Level will be advantageous. Knowledge of public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as proficiency in database operations, will be beneficial for this role. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential qualifications. Daily prioritization and assignment of defects during the feature development phase or maturation phase of the program Together with the Delivery QA lead, responsible for establishing the appropriate workflow in JIRA for defect management. This should align wherever possible to the standard program approach and exceptions only introduced for critical customer requirements Remove blockers wherever possible to ensure continuous working of defects and escalate to Solutions Manager when blocker cannot be removed by the Error Manager Create and support JIRA dashboards on defect work that provide input to the program health QA dashboard Raise the alarm when defect metrics are not being met or bottlenecks in the process exist Responsible for RCA when program targets on defects are not being met Responsible for escalating performance issues when KPI goals are not being met Work with Delivery QA Lead and counterparts on other programs to implement process improvements for defect work Manage backlog of defects for the maturation teams (delivery only) when in this phase of the program (Open Question for Standard Product and for defects during feature work?) Facilitate triage meetings Ensure defects are scheduled accordingly and monitor the through put of defect closure Represent your program for the periodic health of program review within the delivery team Responsible to provide metrics to evaluate state of the system, bug fixing velocity, bug closing velocity and prediction models Authorities To conduct bug triaging sessions with the team Authorized to initiate RCA for recurring bugs Authorize to ask for fix versions of the bugs(commitments from engineering teams) in order to predict and communicate to customer point of contact for Error Management process Skills: management,customer,metrics evaluation,jira,data analysis,bug triaging,process improvement,analytical skills,defect management,rca
