Role To develop and implement comprehensive Health and Safey policies & guidelines in Industrial Safety with focus on all Building/Structural, Fire, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental Occupational and Industrial Safety across all Units of Shahi Group. The KPI would be zero accident by undertaking all Risk Analysis and enforcing preventive measures to ensure an accident free environment at the Operational Level. Carrying out periodical audits and ensuring that all requirements, besides Buyers Requirements are met by drawing up SoPs. Preference Preference would be given for those who have had experience in handling Men, Material and Machine Safety in the Garmenting and Textile Ecosystem and are conversant with the National Buildings Code, besides all the statutory compliances relating to the matter from a technical and legal perspective. Competency Qualifications - Graduate in Engineering and certification in ISO 45001 Experience - At least 8 to 12 years in exclusive handling of such matters. Language Proficiency - Written and Spoken proficiency of Kannada and English languages is a must and must be adept in translation in such languages. Core Skills / Pre-Requisites Ability to ensure that all Risk Analysis is carried out, periodical audits are conducted, Unit/s are compliant from a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) perspective, all the ETP / STP, Plant and Machinery, Electrical and Buildings / Structural are all comprehensively fully compliant from a safety point of view, legal requirements are met, and policies are implemented. Good communication skills, technical expertise, finding cost effective solutions, being consistently compliant are the core functions to be discharged with requisite skills. Legal Knowledge Knowledge of NBC, Health, Safety and Environmental laws / regulations is a must. Responsibilities Review existing policies; update according to the regulatory & customer requirements and implement across all units of Shahi Carry out risk assessment and suggest mitigation plan as preventive measures. Develop a comprehensive manual / framework for the units to adhere and for Business Governance Enforcement team to assess periodically. Independently assess effectiveness of Risk Mitigation and adherence to the policies and guidelines by visiting units periodically. Influence and promote a culture of safe workplace environment by through periodical training, advice, guidance, etc., to workers & employees across all units of shahi. Investigate incidents / reported non-compliances to identify the root cause for the corrective action and horizonal deployment of action across all units. Follow up / monitor implementation of corrective action. Stop any unsafe activities or processes which pose the danger to men; material; machine and environment. Review the non-conformities if any observed by the Business Governance Enforcement teams and follow up on status of action taken Monthly report covering instances observed and addressed with corrective action.
