Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct
safety audits, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies
for plant operations.
Train and guide employees on
safe work practices, chemical handling, PPE usage, and emergency preparedness
.

Develop, implement, and monitor
EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and procedures
in line with pharma industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with
Factories Act, EHS guidelines, Pollution Control Board norms, OSHA, GxP, and other statutory regulations
.

Investigate incidents/accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure safe operations of
reactors, boilers, pressure vessels, hazardous chemicals, solvents, and utilities
.
Liaise with regulatory bodies during
inspections, audits, and compliance reporting
.
Lead and monitor emergency response plans, fire drills, and first aid preparedness.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry / Environmental Science) / B.Tech (Chemical / Safety / EHS)
with Diploma in Industrial Safety (mandatory).
14 To 22 years of EHS/Safety management experience in
API / Bulk Drugs / Pharma manufacturing
