Role Overview: As an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Manager/Assistant General Manager at Suzlon Energy Limited in Pune, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and enhance the company's EHS practices. You will be conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing effective health and safety protocols. Your role will also involve leading accident investigations, managing occupational health strategies, and providing training programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Collaboration with various teams to cultivate a sustainable and safe workplace culture will be crucial to your success in this position. You will be tasked with defining HSE strategy for the state and implementing it across all OMS work sites to achieve HSE objectives as per policy. Implementing HSE Governance Policy, driving and improving HSE culture and discipline, implementing best HSE practices and company HSE Policy, benchmarking for HSE, and coordinating with area HSE controller will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing customer-specific HSE plans, improving reporting of leading parameters, ECC, mock drills, and implementing state-specific rules and applicable statutory requirements. Your role will also involve activity-based risk assessment and providing control measures to reduce risks to an insignificant level, as well as identifying OMS specific PPEs and standardizing them according to IS, CE, and EN specifications.
