Enterprise Integration Architect

As an Enterprise Integration Architect at Northern Trust, your role will involve setting standards and providing support to application teams regarding Integration Architecture. You will define processes and practices for API management, Events and Messaging, as well as data pipelines and ETL. Your responsibilities will include defining enterprise patterns, giving design direction to teams, and offering guidance on platforms to deliver the required capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define standards, practices, and patterns for mature enterprise API lifecycle management, Events, Messaging, and ETL - Enable developers to leverage patterns for successful delivery - Support enterprise deployment of integration platforms - Define enterprise patterns and cookbooks to guide teams - Provide platform guidance for different use cases - Consult with teams to enhance their delivery maturity for the cloud - Continuously improve enterprise architecture processes with a product mindset **Required Key Skills:** - Broad solution architecture experience - Application architectures and testing - Integration architectures including APIs, Event Streaming, Message Queues, and ETL - Platform architecture - Security architecture such as identity and access management, data loss prevention, key management - Consulting mindset with problem-solving abilities and customer focus - Strong communication skills and experience in supporting application teams - Comfortable working with chief architects and CIO/CTO level in a collaborative environment - Understanding of fundamental concepts of application deployment, communication types, and security implications on integration - Agile application delivery experience - Experience with DevOps pipelines and GitHub **Preferred Skills:** - Cloud experience, preferably Azure - Integration platforms like Azure API Management, Kafka, Solace - Platform as a Service including Containers, Kubernetes - Security knowledge in Firewalls, Networks, Authentication, Authorization - Data platforms, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Networking - Experience with Azure DevOps/Boards and CI/CD skills **Experience:** - Minimum of 10 years in software delivery and architecture - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline Northern Trust offers a flexible and collaborative work culture where movement within the organization is encouraged.
