What does the team do?

We serve several hundred million ads daily to our users, sourcing them from both our direct demand and a network of partners integrated via ORTB channels or GAM. Delivering ads at this scale to a diverse user base requires deep neural network (DNN)-based recommendation models, along with a robust infrastructure to support seamless ad delivery.

Beyond recommendation models, our system incorporates a sophisticated marketplace designed to maximize value for advertisers while ensuring optimal budget consumption at a predictable pace. Additionally, it upholds a fair and competitive environment for all partners by ensuring equitable auctions for each ad slot.

Some of the key challenges our team addresses include:

• Developing personalized ad recommendation models.
• Building world-class infrastructure to deliver ads in near real-time.
• Maintaining a marketplace that ensures fair value delivery to advertisers while optimizing budget utilization.
• Ensuring a level playing field for all partners, whether integrated directly or through networks.

What Youll Do?

As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding a high-performance backend team working towards the objective of driving the growth of ShareChats ads business, both network and first-party ads. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Owning and driving revenue growth

  : Establish clear goals for ad revenue expansion and develop strategies to achieve them.

• Strategic collaboration

  : Partner with stakeholders to ideate, plan, and execute the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Team growth and development

  : Foster the professional growth of team members by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for skill enhancement.

• Architecting scalable systems

  : Design and develop secure, scalable, and extensible systems while making informed technological decisions to support long-term business needs.

• Shaping culture and values

Who are you?

Preferred qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing and developing large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product, operations, and business teams.
• Deep understanding of modern technologies, architectures, and industry best practices, with a keen interest in staying up to date with advancements in the field.
• Bachelor's degree (B.Tech. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering scalable and efficient solutions.
• Experience in leading or mentoring teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a plus.
• 8-10 years of experience in backend engineering. At least 1 year of people experience.

Where youll be?

You will be expected to be in our Bangalore office 3 days a week as per our policy.
