Engineering Head - Missiles

Purpose/Objective

To lead the engineering function across missile platforms including ULPGM, NGARM, RudraM II, and VSHORADS. The role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and overseeing the design, integration, and validation of missile systems. This includes collaboration with DRDO, ISRO, and global OEMs to deliver cutting-edge indigenous defence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Roles & Responsibilities Engineering Leadership - Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with Adani’s defence roadmap - Lead cross-functional teams in mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering - Oversee lifecycle management from concept, design, prototyping, testing, to deployment Design & Integration Oversight - Guide the design team in developing advanced missile systems and subsystems - Ensure integration of propulsion, guidance, and warhead technologies - Validate designs against MIL STDs, JSS, and CEMILAC standards Innovation & Technology Development - Drive adoption of simulation tools, CAD platforms, and automated testing frameworks - Collaborate with technology partners for joint development and design concurrence - Promote indigenous innovation under “Make in India” initiatives Stakeholder & Partner Engagement - Interface with DRDO, MoD, and international OEMs for technical alignment - Represent Adani Defence in strategic forums and industry events - Support business development with technical inputs for RFPs and proposals

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications & Experience - Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Defence Engineering - Experience: 15–25 years in missile systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role - Certifications: Preferred – CEMILAC, MIL STD, DRDO collaboration experience
