Job Description

Strong knowledge of cutting tool design, selection, and application
Exposure to CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Understanding of GD&T, isometric drawings, and basic fixture design
Basic understanding of Lathe, VMC, HMC, and other machine tools.
Familiarity with CNC programming (Turning & Machining centres)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and team collaboration
Proactive approach in troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Process knowledge in automotive parts machining

Roles and Responsibilities

Selection and design of cutting tools for machining applications
Preparation and interpretation of 2D and 3D tool designs using AutoCAD and 3D software
Study and apply Isometric views, GD&T, and basic fixture concepts
Calculate and optimize process cost, cycle time, and tool cost per component
Troubleshoot issues related to cutting tools and process performance
Provide technical support for CNC turning and machining centres
Contribute to part prove-out and process validation activities
Work closely with production and quality teams to improve machining performance
Understand basics of CNC programming and contribute to process improvements (added advantage).
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen, and problem-solving activities.
