We are currently seeking a skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon.

Work Type: Onsite, Permanent, Full-Time, 6-days working (1st and 3rd Saturdays are WFH), 2nd & 4th Saturdays are holidays.

Position Overview: As an Engineer at our firm, you will play a crucial role in providing expertise on technical matters in the field of Engineering, conducting research and supporting our attorneys in patent prosecution and litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Analysis and Research:

• Conduct detailed analyses of mechanical/ electrical/ electronics/IT inventions to determine patentability and scope.
• Perform comprehensive literature and patent database searches to identify prior art.
• Evaluate and analyze scientific and technical data related to pharmaceutical patents.

Patent Drafting and Prosecution:

• Assist patent attorneys in drafting patent applications, including claims, specifications, and drawings.
• Prepare and review technical documents, including responses to office actions and other communications with patent offices.
• Coordinate with inventors and clients to gather necessary technical information for patent filings.

Litigation Support:

• Provide technical support in patent infringement and validity analyses.
• Assist in preparing expert reports, declarations, and technical arguments for litigation.
• Analyze competitor patents and technologies to support litigation strategies.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate complex technical concepts to clients and patent attorneys in a clear and concise manner.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss technical aspects of inventions and patent strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the patent prosecution process.
• Interaction with R&D Teams, scientists, patent and government officials.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of Engineering as well as related patent laws.
• Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance technical and legal knowledge.

Qualifications:

• We are hiring for two roles — one for freshers and another for candidates with 2–3 years of experience.
• A Bachelor’s or a Master's degree in Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Engineering concepts, including basic concepts.
• Prior experience in patent law, patent prosecution, or intellectual property is preferred.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in using patent databases and research tools.
