Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead NPI projects from RFQ to SOP (Start of Production) with cross-functional coordination.
Review and interpret customer technical specifications and drawings.
Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and process planning for new harness products.
Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Customer teams for smooth product launch.
Manage ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) and documentation related to product development.
Evaluate tooling and equipment requirements for new products.
Perform process validation and first article approvals (PPAP/FAI).
Conduct risk analysis (PFMEA) and establish control plans for critical processes.
Track project KPIs including cost, quality, and timeline adherence.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific standards

Preferred candidate profile

BE/ B.Tech / Diploma Electrical/Mechanical/E&C Engineering with a relevant 4 to 9 years of experience in cable NPD.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong technical knowledge of wire harnesses, connectors, terminals, routing, and electrical schematics.
Expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other core tools.
Proficient in CAD tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent).
Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
Familiar with ISO/IATF audits and compliance requirements.
Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
