Engineer - MEP

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and manage the design and execution of HVAC (Mechanical) , Electrical , and Plumbing systems. Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions from consultants and contractors. Ensure alignment of MEP services with architectural and structural designs for smooth project delivery. Oversee on-site execution, inspect MEP installations, and ensure work is as per standards and project schedule. Monitor contractor activities and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and statutory norms. Conduct site inspections, testing & commissioning of MEP systems before handover. Coordinate utility connections, load calculations, pump sizing, duct layouts, electrical load distribution, and water supply/drainage systems. Handle BOQ verification, material approvals, and support in billing/certification processes. Requirements Skills & Competencies: Deep technical knowledge in HVAC, electrical circuits, plumbing layouts, drainage & firefighting systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Excel, and project scheduling tools. Familiarity with industry codes like IS/NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and local building norms. Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, quality-focused, and deadline-oriented. Preferred Background: Hands-on experience with real estate or infrastructure projects. Exposure to green building systems (LEED/IGBC) is a plus.
