Engineer II, Supplier Quality

As an Engineer II, Supplier Quality (Sheet Metal, Die Casting, Machining, Special processes) in Goa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring industry-leading performance through outstanding talent, innovation, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: - Identify requirements for new development and conduct technical pre-screening of suppliers before evaluation - Coordinate with Buyers to select suppliers meeting Amphenol Business Requirements - Evaluate and qualify potential suppliers based on commodity and product requirements - Review technical drawings with suppliers and engineering teams, ensuring manufacturability - Conduct feasibility assessments and DFM reviews, agreeing on manufacturing processes with suppliers - Ensure tooling, gauging, and fixturing meet process requirements and PFMEA standards - Conduct metrological investigations on metallic raw materials and plating/coating - Collaborate with suppliers to achieve timely, quality production, avoiding imperfections - Follow APQP approach for timeline agreement and execution, including PPAP and mass production ramp-up - Implement process controls, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers - Lead RCA activities, utilizing quality tools and coordinating with internal stakeholders for quality control Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's in engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience - Managerial skills to lead a team effectively - Expertise in aluminum sheet metal stamping, die casting, machining, and special coating processes - Proficiency in quality tools like Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, among others - Ability to read CAD drawings and analyze simulations - Strong communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with SAP, Minitab, and Power BI is preferred - Willingness to travel moderately for the role About ANDREW: Join ANDREW, an Amphenol company, with a legacy of over 85 years in wireless innovation.
