As an Engineer II, Supplier Quality at ANDREW in Verna, Goa, your primary responsibility will be to identify requirements for new development and conduct technical pre-screening with suppliers. You will collaborate with Buyers to select the correct suppliers based on Amphenol Business Requirements and evaluate their potential and qualification. Your role will involve coordinating technical reviews, DFM reviews, and feasibility assessments with suppliers and Amphenol engineering to ensure manufacturability. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient metrological investigation for metallic raw materials and plating/coating processes, as well as managing tooling, gauging, and fixturing approvals based on feasible process sequences and PFMEA. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining process controls, executing PPAPs, and resolving supplier-related issues through proper RCA and action execution. You will also contribute to cost reduction initiatives through value engineering proposals and continuous improvement efforts. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including managerial abilities to lead a team effectively. Your experience in commodity areas like aluminum sheet metal stamping, die casting, machining, aluminum extrusion, and special coating processes will be highly valuable. Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Manufacturing, as well as CAD skills, will be essential. Your assertiveness, excellent communication and presentation skills, decision-making capabilities, and interpersonal skills will be crucial for successful collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Proficiency in SAP, Minitab, and Power BI is preferred, and moderate travel may be required for this position. Main Job Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical components. Inspect belts, gearboxes, and conveyors. Lubricate machinery and ensure optimal mechanical performance. Assist in machine installation, dismantling, and overhaul. Maintain maintenance logs and repair records. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Any other assignments allocated to by the Maintenance In-charge Qualification: High school diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Maintenance. 2-3 years of experience in industrial or factory maintenance (preferably in aluminum extrusion or metal industries). Four (4) Plus years hands-on experience in Aluminum Extrusion Die Correction. Requirements, knowledge and skills: Basic understanding of mechanical systems, cranes, and conveyors. Familiarity with shop machines such as bench grinder, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, soldering/de-soldering iron, drill press, multimeter, arbor press, hydraulic press, and pneumatic screwdriver. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical assemblies. Reliability, self-motivation, and willingness to learn. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Candidate profile would be Age group not more than 45 years old Good command in English language Physically fit.
