Job Responsibilities: Develop Quality strategies, department's Yearly Business Plan, objectives and Monthly Operation plan. Analyze financial and Department KPIs to identify key areas of opportunity, cost reduction, energy efficiency, and optimize asset uptime and performance. Develops, trains and motivates team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation morale; maintains awareness of Quality and/or implement Quality policies and procedures and ensures employee adherence/ may recommend and implement Quality Assurance procedures. Carrying root cause analysis for the rejections/customer complaints and implements procedures to minimize defects due to these occurrences. Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement Quality. Ensuring conformity of quality management system in their area of responsibility. Provide test certificates as desired by the customers or as per industry norms. Responsible for all people related matters for his team; partner with Production Manager and HR Manager for hiring needs; performance evaluation and developmental needs to ensure motivation and retention. Emergency response, immediate action to address critical issues. Develop/Revise standard operational and work practices/tools to the best available methods and technology. Conduct regular quality audits. Develop and enhance the health and safety practices and procedures. Qualification: Minimum Bachelor degree in either Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or any related major. Five (5) Plus years hands-on experience in Industrial / Manufacturing company as QA/QC Head (preferably in Aluminum extrusion or metal industries) Requirements, knowledge and skills: Profound knowledge of ISO standards and certifications. Strong management skills. knowledge of lean management & six sigma is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Well experience on problem solving and Root cause analysis skills. Must be able to apply good judgment and make decisions independently. IT / Computer skills, preferably with Oracle knowledge. Main Job Responsibilities: Leads die shop staff and supervises the work of die correctors. Oversee die maintenance and die repair operations. Review new product tooling designs for feasibility and manufacturability issues. Works with New Product Development and Engineering to ensure procurement of appropriate dies. Coordinate with production, run of samples of all new dies, as they are entered into the production process, maintain updated die information in manufacturing software. Source tooling suppliers for new tooling programs and for the repair of existing tools. Responsible for caustic and nitridation processes to be completed according to established schedules. Responsible for ordering new and replacement dies, which includes direct contact with various die vendors. Establish and maintain consistent feedback and evaluation programs for all die vendors. Responsible for coordinating the training of new employees. Recommend and implement corrective actions, including die corrections and adjustments to improve performance and quality. Conduct trial runs on new or modified dies to evaluate performance and make necessary adjustments. Work closely with the extrusion team and quality, and communicate effectively about die performance, corrections made, and any ongoing issues to ensure smooth production operations. Ensure proper handling and storage of dies to avoid damage and maintain optimal working conditions. Maintain detailed records of die corrections, modifications, and maintenance activities. Document die performance issues and actions taken to resolve them for future reference and continuous improvement. Responsible for keeping the Extrusion Head & production Manager informed of activities and/or problems and maintaining effective communication between shifts. Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement. Evaluate procedures, work rules, systems, and affect improvement through defining expectations and needs and involving the organization in developing and implementing these improvements. Focus topics include productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, maintenance, technical advances, training and attendance. Train team members on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Motivate employees to reach higher productivity rates and to improve quality Drive repair schedule through both internal and external resources to meet production needs.
