Role Objectives:
- To take on a key role within the US/Water services sector, providing technical advice and leading by example where appropriate
- To manage selected projects (or parts of projects) meeting budgetary, quality and timeframe targets
- To build and consolidate networks within the Water industry.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications
- Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design
- Providing technical advice to project team members
- Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects
- Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the client to keep informed of all developments associated with the project
- Assisting in developing team members to their full potential
- Being familiar with, and compliant with, relevant H & S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.E / B. Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized University. - 3 to 5 Years experience in design of Instrumentation and Control systems associated with Water industry.
- Knowledge of code & standards and practices related to water industry
- Proven design experience: including concept, preliminary, detailed, construction phases
- Has thorough technical knowledge of
- Understanding and development of Process and instrumentation drawing (P&ID)
- Develop block and network diagram
- Development of Motor control schematic development
- Capable of taking instrument take offs from P&IDs and create instrumentation list.
- Performing I/O take offs from P&ID and create IO list
- Development of wiring diagrams, cable and conduit schedules for instrumentation.
- Preparation of mounting details
- Experience in PLC/HMI/SCADA configuration
- Good appreciation of ACAD design tool.
- Ability to develop PLC/HMI platform development for SCAD systems
- Thorough knowledge of Allen Bradley, Modicon and GE PLC systems preferred.
- Thorough knowledge in
- HMI platforms: Wonderware, GE Proficy, Rockwell Automation FT, Induction Automation
- Historians: Rockwell FT Historian, Proficy iHistorian, OSI-Soft
- Industrial Networks: Cisco, N-Tron, Stratis
- Protocols: Modbus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, DNP3
- Experience in developing well annotated PLC programming and /or SCADA applications: P&IDs, control strategy, IO lists, function design specifications
- well-annotated PLC code and/or SCADA applications: P&IDs, control strategy, I/O lists, functional requirement documents
- Ability to identify a test list to simulate and/or review all aspects of the developed code to determine suitability for field deployment.
- FAT / Bench testing experience.
- Experience with PLC code simulation software a plus (PicsPro, etc).
- Has good appreciation of Health, safety and environment aspects.
- Ability to carry out design reviews independently.
- Familiar with American standards, NFPA, IEEE and IEC standards related to Water Industry.
- Experience within a consultancy environment specifically extended office of lead business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
- Ability to think in an innovative manner
- Knowledge of commercial aspects of projects
