Job Summary. We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support and ensure the smooth functioning of desktop systems within the organization. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues on end-user devices.. Key Responsibilities. Provide firstand second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux) and standard software packages. Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues (LAN/Wi-Fi) in a timely manner. Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access management in Active Directory or similar systems. Maintain asset inventory and track hardware/software licenses. Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team for escalations and backend support. Set up and support video conferencing tools and collaboration platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.). Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and security protocols. Document incidents, requests, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Freshservice). Qualifications. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and endpoint management tools. Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, peripherals). Familiarity with ITSM tools and remote desktop support technologies. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, sometimes under pressure. Show more Show less
