As an Application Engineer at CECO Environmental, your primary responsibility will be to support sales by providing quotes, designing solutions, and costing products to address customer problems promptly. Your key duties will include: - Handling application inquiries and recommending suitable products with a sense of urgency - Providing written and verbal quotations in compliance with company price lists and discount schedules - Assisting customers with troubleshooting, handling complaints, and resolving issues professionally - Conducting costing analysis on product line items for gross margin calculation - Coordinating customer delivery requirements with the Production Department - Recommending modifications to standard products to meet individual customer needs - Taking necessary actions to boost sales of the division's products - Representing the division at trade shows and customer visits as required - Assisting in creating marketing literature and website development for increased productivity and sales To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor of Science degree in Process or Chemical Engineering with experience in plant emission control design - 3+ years of experience in developing system designs for wet systems packages in industrial manufacturing processes - Understanding of EPA emissions regulations and Best Available Technologies is preferred - Experience with materials in corrosive and high-temperature environments - Knowledge of fans, process systems, and technical specifications - Experience in developing cost estimates and proposals for engineered equipment systems - Familiarity with air pollution control and product recovery equipment In terms of competencies, you should have proficiency in: - Computers, including Microsoft Office applications - Customer service principles - Engineering and technology applications - English language skills Your skills should include: - Proficiency in process engineering software and standardized spreadsheets - Critical thinking and analytical skills - Management of personnel resources - Strong sense of urgency and persuasion abilities - Active listening and effective communication skills Additionally, you should possess the following abilities: - Oral and written comprehension - Organization and prioritization skills - Deductive reasoning and problem sensitivity - Strong communication skills and speech clarity This role may require travel across borders as needed.
