Job Description

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITES :
Will be responsible for the design & development and application engineering for the business. He / she will have to comply with the systems, policies and procedures within the design function and will also be responsible for goals within the Business Unit.
  • KEY CUSTOMERS SERVED (Internal and External)
  • KEY ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED (for fulfilling the responsibilities and meeting customer expectations).
  • Developing projects using engineering principles and techniques
  • Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs
  • Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput.
  • Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing, vendors and customers
  • Making sure a product can be made again reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
  • Recommending modifications following prototype test results
  • Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
  • Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints while designing.
  • Preparing Bill of Material
  • Time, Cost & documentation control.
  • Secrecy in projects.

Technical

D KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Technically competent and proficient at understanding machines Very good knowledge of engineering concepts Working knowledge of solidedge / solidworks Strong analytical & mathematical skills Project planning & costing capabilities Knowledge of MS office applications (preferably also MS Projects) Knowledge of SAP Design module (preferable) Knowledge of Team center hands on to work with defined Workflows..
