About the Role
Unhu Startup Emporium is not a conventional retail store. It is a Product-Market Fit (PMF) laboratory where early-stage brands are showcased for live customer interaction, feedback and validation.
We are hiring an Emporium Manager who will act as the central operator, leader and face of the Emporium, ensuring smooth operations, founder coordination, customer experience and structured feedback collection.
This is not a typical sales role. Sales are secondary.
The primary responsibility is managing founders, brands, feedback, and experience.
Core Responsibility
To manage the Unhu Startup Emporium as a live market research and feedback ecosystem, ensuring founders receive actionable insights, customers receive a premium experience, and the Emporium functions as a one-of-a-kind startup hub.
Key Responsibilities
1. Emporium Experience & Tours
Conduct Emporium tours for walk-in customers and visitors.
Clearly explain:
(a) The concept of the Emporium
(b) How it functions as a PMF lab
(c) How customers can touch, feel, taste and experience brands
Encourage customers to share honest feedback on products and brands.
2. Feedback Collection & Founder Coordination
Collect structured customer feedback, including:
(a) What customers liked
(b) What they did not like
(c) What stopped them from buying
(d) What would make them purchase immediately
Share feedback with founders in a clear, actionable manner.
Coordinate with founders to ensure they attend workshops, meetings and take action on feedback.
Actively engage with founders listed in the Emporium and those in the Accelerator program.
3. Brand Representation & On-Camera Role
Act as the face of the brands listed in the Emporium when founders are not present.
Confidently explain brand stories, USPs and products to customers.
Be comfortable speaking on camera for brand walkthroughs, videos and content shoots.
4. Operations & Billing
Manage billing systems and daily sales records.
Oversee inventory coordination and listing management.
Ensure cleanliness, display quality and overall discipline inside the Emporium.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and coordinate:
(a) Social media team
(b) Digital marketing team
(c) Emporium operations team
(d) Ensure daily shoots, content plans and operational tasks are executed smoothly.
(e) Maintain clear communication between teams and founders.
Who Should Apply
- Someone with prior experience in store management, retail operations or customer-facing leadership roles (preferred).
- Mature, organised and responsible personality.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Confident, friendly and comfortable interacting with diverse people.
- Camera-friendly and articulate.
- Strong people-management and coordination skills.
Requirements
- Must have own laptop
- Own conveyance preferred
- Ability to travel locally for coordination if required
