Job Summary:

Elevator Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on elevator systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults in elevator systems, escalators, and moving walkways.
Conduct detailed inspections to ensure system performance, safety compliance, and regulatory adherence.
Test and calibrate elevator safety features such as brakes, door locks, alarms, and emergency communication systems.
Maintain accurate service logs, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
Coordinate with building management, contractors, and internal teams on maintenance activities and repair schedules.
Monitor component wear and recommend replacements to avoid future failures.
Ensure compliance with local and national safety codes and elevator regulations (e.g., ASME A17.1, EN 81, OSHA).

Required Skills :

Valid
Elevator Mechanic License
or Certification (depending on local regulatory requirements).
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical elevator systems, including control panels, motors, drives, and hydraulics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, testers, and handheld programmers.
Familiarity with both traction and hydraulic elevator systems.
