Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Installation and setup: Install new printing equipment, which can range from standard printers and copiers to large-format and specialized industrial presses (e.g., UV coating, flexography).
  • Preventive maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks to prevent future breakdowns, including servicing mechanical, electronic, and software components.
  • Technical diagnostics and repair: Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, diagnose faulty operations, and perform timely and effective repairs to restore functionality.
  • Customer support and training: Provide expert technical assistance to clients, train their operators and staff on proper usage and basic maintenance, and respond to service requests.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed records of service activities, including diagnostics performed, repairs completed, parts used, and machine performance.
  • Inventory management: Keep track of spare parts and supplies, ensuring the necessary components are available for repairs.
  • Safety compliance: Adhere to all industry and company safety standards and procedures during installation and service calls.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Educational background: A diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronics engineering is often required. Some positions may accept equivalent experience or technical certifications.
  • Technical expertise: A deep understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and software components of printing machines. Experience with specific equipment brands (e.g., Heidelberg, Canon, Epson) may be an advantage.
  • Troubleshooting abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, explain technical concepts clearly, and provide effective training.
  • Customer service skills: A strong customer focus and a positive attitude are essential for building and maintaining good relationships with clients.
  • Work environment: The ability to work independently, manage one's own time, and travel frequently to various client sites is often required.
  • Adaptability: A proactive and self-driven attitude, with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to different environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
