Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Installation: Installing wiring, lighting, control systems, and other electrical components in compliance with technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Maintenance: Performing routine checks and inspections on electrical systems and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure efficient operation.
• Repair: Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, then repairing or replacing faulty wiring, fixtures, equipment, and components.
• Testing: Utilizing tools like voltmeters, ammeters, and thermal scanners to test electrical systems and identify problems.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair work, including materials used and details of the servicing completed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and industry standards, as well as state and local building codes.
• Collaboration: Coordinating with other contractors, team members, and project managers to plan work and ensure projects are completed on time.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installations and repairs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and diagrams, using hand and power tools, and operating testing equipment.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, components, systems, and national electric codes.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems effectively.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to coordinate with teams and address customer concerns.
• Attention to Detail: Methodical approach and meticulous work habits for precise and safe installations and repairs.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing and working in confined spaces, often required in construction and maintenance.
• Education/Training: Often requires a diploma or certificate in a relevant electrical field, along with an apprenticeship program

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
