Job Description

Position: Electrical Engineer Location Udumalpet, Tamilnadu JD Preventive Maintenance: l Implements daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and execute the same. l Monitors and ensures the improvement of life of overall equipment efficiency of electrical equipment like motors, PLC remote panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, switching yards Break down and troubleshooting: l Gathers the information of daily, monthly breakdowns and updates same to HOD. l Attends the electrical breakdowns and does the root cause analysis. Ensures not to repeat the same problem. Power Consumption: l Monitors daily power consumed units and ensures its reduction by proper utilization of power. l Maintains the unity power factor (kvar) and monitors the Maximum Demand of the factory. l Stabilizes the voltage levels from step down transformer for standardizing of LV side voltage. Liasioning and Statutory Compliance: l Maintains and updates as per statutory electrical compliance like annual electrical inspection submission, transformer oil filtration report, earthing inspection pit reports by auditing through third party. l Coordinates with local and APSPDCL officials like DE, ADE, AE, Sub Eng, line men etc., regarding compliance and for quality of power Electrical Safety Management: l Participates in the safety committee meeting as a member and discusses the issues. l Implements preventive and corrective measure to target of zero accident. l Coordinates with safety officer and ensures usage of PPEs at workplace. l Ensures strict implementation of LOTO and safety work permits. Maintain SOP of Electrical department works: l Monitors best practices with SOP guideline like motor servicing, PM schedule, MCC panels, PCC panels maintenance Energy conversion activities: l Monitors daily the lighting loads and upgrades the energy conversion on lights like load sharing and balancing. l Changes low efficiency motors to high efficiency motors.
