Electrical Lab Assistant

Key responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance: Keep lab tools and equipment in good working order, perform routine maintenance, and report any damaged or outdated items.
• Experiment assistance: Support instructors and senior staff by preparing materials and equipment for experiments and assisting during lab sessions.
• Lab organization and safety: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure the proper use and storage of materials and equipment.
• Inventory and supplies: Monitor and manage inventory levels, keep track of supplies, and order replacements as needed.
• Record keeping: Document all activities, maintain accurate records of experiments, equipment status, and test results.
• Data analysis: Collect and analyze data from tests and experiments, and accurately record the results.
• Administrative support: Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones, filing, and managing records.

Skills and qualifications

• Technical skills: Knowledge of electrical and electronics theory, proficiency with various laboratory equipment and precision tools.
• Soft skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication skills.
• Education: Typically requires a diploma or degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
