Electrical Engineer III

Role Overview: Orbit & Skyline India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer III to join their team. As an Electrical Engineer III, you will be responsible for working on obsolescence activities, designing electrical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in delivering efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Work on obsolescence activities with higher complexity to qualify replacements, perform testing, and release in the system along with documentation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and qualify engineering solutions. - Design electrical systems to client specifications while prioritizing safety and compliance with local and federal laws. - Review designs to ensure safety, client requirements, and compliance. - Participate in design reviews throughout different phases of design and development. - Identify project risks, perform FMEA, and provide mitigation strategies. - Plan engineering phases, coordinate with teams, and ensure deadlines are met. - Review team documentation and provide guidance. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics with 6-10 years of experience, Master's degree preferred with a minimum of 4 years of experience. - Comfortable working with US-based timings. - Good understanding of electrical & electronics components, ability to select and recommend components based on application and circuit requirements. - Hands-on experience in testing electronics components at bench-level and system-level. - Up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, laws, and regulations for compliance. - Excellent communication, presentation, critical/system level thinking, and project management skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Good to have exposure in part lifecycle management, electronic components obsolescence, Reliability & system engineering concepts, PCB and components understanding, and experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
