Job Summary:

The Electrical and Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining electrical systems and infrastructure projects in a food processing environment. The role includes managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with food safety and electrical standards, and improving equipment efficiency and plant uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Responsibilities: (80%)

Design, install, and maintain electrical systems in food processing units including motors, control panels, and automation systems.

Troubleshoot electrical faults, breakdowns, and implement preventive maintenance.

Ensure adherence to safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, GMP, GHP) and electrical codes.

Optimize power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.

Maintain proper documentation of all electrical systems, panels, and control circuits.

Project Engineering Responsibilities: (20%)

Plan and execute capital projects related to plant expansion, equipment installation, utility upgrades, etc.

Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Prepare project schedules, budgets, layouts, technical specifications, and progress reports.

Ensure proper commissioning of new equipment with minimal disruption to production.

Monitor project quality, compliance, and safety standards during execution.

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, control systems, and instrumentation.

Knowledge of food-grade electrical installations and hygienic design practices.

Familiar with electrical drawings and project management tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications:

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Min 7 years of experience in electrical maintenance and project management in food processing / FMCG / manufacturing industry.

Exposure to food industry regulations and automation systems is preferred.
